Jenny Jennings
Alotapilates founder Jenny Jennings began her training with The Pilates Center, where she received her Certified Master Teacher designation. Jenny is a Certified Pilates Instructor, a member of the Pilates Method Alliance, and is PMA Certified and MELT Method Hand & Foot Certified. Jenny continues her education with yearly workshops at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, where she has studied with such Pilates luminaries as Amy Alpers and Rachel Taylor Segel.

Caryn Coopmans
Co-owner and Certified Pilates Instructor Caryn Coopmans earned her certifications from the Physicalmind Institute and the Pilates Method Alliance. She also earned her Certified Master Teacher designation from The Pilates Center.

Caryn started teaching Pilates in Sag Harbor, NY. She briefly taught in Buenos Aires, Argentina before moving back to Minneapolis. She has been with Alotapilates ever since.

Tia Fink-Hartzell
Co-owner Tia Fink-Hartzell began her Pilates journey as a complement to her modern dance studies at St. Olaf College. After receiving her B.A. in Dance and Political Science, Tia pursued additional Pilates training. She received her certification from True Pilates NY/Romana's Pilates. Tia is a PMA Certified Instructor and she also has her Master's Certification from The Pilates Center.

Carol Sarnat
Carol came to Pilates as a student to address chronic lower back problems so she has a firsthand appreciation for how Pilates can build core strength and improve body imbalances. The benefits of her practice inspired her to pursue teacher training. Carol received her certification from Align Pilates. She has her Master's Certification from The Pilates Center and MELT Method Hand & Foot Certification. Carol is also a member of the Pilates Method Alliance.

 

 

Michelle Stutesman

Michelle began dancing at age 4 and studied ballet at the Classical Ballet Academy of Ballet Minnesota. She discovered Pilates as a high school dance student and continued her practice as an undergraduate at Texas Christian University. Michelle obtained her certification from The Pilates Center where she was chosen to be a Licensed Teacher Trainer. She has completed therapeutic massage training and is a PMA Certified Instructor. Michelle spent time spent in Paris where she consulted on teacher training.

 

 

Kelly Sams

In college, Kelly realized her knees were no longer up to the strain of running but she missed the meditative, mind-over-matter benefits of regular exercise. After graduating and moving to the Cities, she discovered Pilates and fell in love with it. In Pilates, she found a system that attuned her body, her breath, and her mind - and improved her posture and fluidity. She became such a strong believer in the method, she chose to become an instructor. Kelly has earned certification from Six Degrees Uptown and The Pilates Center. Kelly has a passion for the study of Postural Restoration - the exploration of the science of asymmetries in the body. She uses this lense as she teaches Classical Pilates.

 

Christy Jonason
        

     While navigating life in New York as a dancer, Christy realized her body was out of alignment.        

     After trying yoga and chiropractic, she enrolled at The New York Pilates Studio, where she found the

     bodywork — and the career change — she needed. Christy earned her first teacher certification from

     the contemporary Stott Pilates program as well as an advanced certification through
     The Pilates Center. She is also certified as a Thai Yoga Bodywork Therapist.

 

 

Daniella Valverde


  Daniella began her Pilates practice to complement her CrossFit training. Pilates helped her

  find the balance and flexibility she was missing in her body. To further pursue her new found  

  passion, she was certified through Romana's Pilates. Daniella's continued practice of Pilates

  has helped her deepen her strength training as well as improve her skills in her favorite sport:

  Tennis. Teaching Pilates has helped bridge her past experience in education with her love of the Pilates Method and she is committed to sharing the work of Joseph Pilates to help her clients feel their best.
